Diva challenge 361 - Earth Day 2018

This week's diva challenge - to tangle on something recycled in honor of Earth Day - led me into a new "most unusual ZIA" and a fun and creative zentangle adventure.  This is the straw basket I took off a Chianti bottle I pulled out of the trash.  Tangling on it turned out to be more of a challenge than I'd expected, but seeing what worked and what didn't was a lot of fun.  Sharpies turned out to be the type of pen that worked best. Tangling along the pieces of straw rather than across them turned out to be the key.  And I didn't even attempt shading - I already had plenty of dimensionality and shades of grey before I even started.  Happy belated Earth Day, everyone.  May we all remember always how important and urgent it is to care for our planet and to appreciate and enjoy it!

    1. Thanks, Anne, and no, it wasn't easy. But here I go with the ZT metaphors for life, once I got the hang of what worked in the particular situation I was facing and chose accordingly, it was actually quite easy.
