Diva challenge 355 - verve

verve, onamato, myswing, cruffle

I love using tangles as strings, but I've never done it with verve before.  So when I saw that the diva challenge this week was to use verve, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.  I used an apprentice tile so I'd have plenty of room to tangle inside the verve stripes.  I saw a big undulation I really liked on both halves of the verve  and tried to use sparkle and shading to bring it out, but I don't think it worked very well, and I so disliked the shading where I wanted the trough of the undulation to be that I actually erased it. Oh well.  I still like the tile, and I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open and see if I can spot anybody else succeeding in doing what I wanted to do.

  1. great tile Pat! I wish I'd remembered to use Verve as a string. I did once, a long time ago and loved it.

    1. Thanks, Michele. It's never too late if you decide you do want to do another verve-as-string tile.

  2. I like it as it is. I think the white space enhances the patterns. I used Verve as a string once, on a big ZIA (10x10") It took ages and even now i keep wanting to take it down and add more shade. You can see it on my blog this week. (https://magratscraft.wordpress.com )
