Diva challenge 350 - rimana

rimana, verdigough, mooka, paisel

This week's challenge from diva Laura Harms was to use a heart-shaped string and Nadine Roller's tangle rimana.  I wasn't crazy about the idea of simple heart-shaped string, so I used a double heart, one superimposed upside down and staggered over the other - doesn't show much at all, but it's there and was a fun string I may use another time.  And my rimana isn't nearly as graceful nor flowing as Nadine's - maybe a matter of practice?  But I do like the finshed tile.  My diva challenge tiles almost always come out looking good, often better than the ones I just do on my own.  Maybe the guidance provided by the challenge, like the guidance of a string, sets me free to flow without having to think about what to do.  Can't believe it's been more than 6 months I've been doing them, and I'm grateful for the experience.

  1. Oh wow!! This tile is very beautiful and i love how you combined the patterns! Your RIMANA is very gorgeous, it looks very strong and bold!! LOVE IT!! It is so funny that we don`t appreciate our pattern style sometimes. And others do so much. I love this Zentangle-Method and philosophy... thank you very much for sharing your awesome tile!!! Best wishes from Cologne, Nadine

    1. Wow, Nadine. Thanks for your enthusiasm and perspective, and thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm glad you like my take on rimana. It must be fun to see scads of different interpretations of your own tangle.
